Keep every project's context. log4u keeps your notes, ideas, todos, decisions, and references together on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Bring an existing project into log4u

1. Choose Import Project and copy the AI instructions.
2. Paste the instructions into the AI conversation that already knows your project.
3. Bring back the .log4u or JSON file, or paste the result into log4u.
4. Choose Review Import, edit the starting summary and items, then import.

Import creates a new project. It does not overwrite existing projects or restore photos, recordings, or an entire conversation history. An AI account is not needed for ordinary use of log4u.

iCloud sync

Use the same Apple Account on your devices and make sure iCloud is available with enough free storage. Open the app on each device and allow time for changes and attachments to sync. Project Settings shows the store and account status; an available account alone does not mean every change has finished syncing. Text drafts stay on the device where you typed them.

Voice and photos

Allow microphone access to record voice notes and speech recognition to transcribe them. You can manage these permissions in system settings. Transcription depends on Apple's supported languages and service availability. Text notes work without these permissions. Photos are selected with the system picker.

Exports and deletion

Project Settings offers Markdown and JSON exports. Keep exported files somewhere you control; they are separate copies of your project. These text exports are not a full backup of photo and audio attachments. Deleting a project in the app also deletes its synced content once iCloud catches up.
